Lawyers Alert to strengthen TB Coalitions in Lagos and FCT

Lawyers Alert is happy to announce grant support from Stop TB Partnership under the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) round 11, to strengthen the TB movement and to advance the use of law for Human Rights response in TB.

“The Project will strengthen the existing TB Coalitions in Lagos and FCT to carry out advocacy on TB rights and gender-based approaches to TB response," says Peace Okeshola (Legal officer and Lawyers Alert Focal Person).

This Project will foster the production of data on Human Rights violations associated with TB for evidence-based advocacy and will strengthen community systems and structures for PATB's effective participation in ending stigma and discrimination in TB.

Lawyers Alert to facilitate the creation of Regional Justice TB network in Anglophone Africa

Lawyers Alert is happy to announce a regional grant from Stop TB Partnership under the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) Round 11, to engage Lawmakers and Judges in Anglophone Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa) towards promoting accountability and access to justice.

“The project will foster greater accountability among TB decision-makers and access to justice for people affected by TB in Anglophone Africa,” says Peace Okeshola (Legal officer and Lawyers Alert Focal Person).

Lawmakers and Judges will be sensitized on a rights-based, people-centred TB response and strengthen regional TB networks. The Project also aims to employ TB Legal Score Cards to promote rights-based, people-centred TB laws, policies and judicial opinions in the region.
