Court Restores Mr X right after Forceful Diagnosis

Dissolution of Marriage in the Interest of Safety and Justice
With free legal support from Lawyers Alert Nigeria, the court granted Mrs. C a dissolution of her marriage, which had been marked by non-disclosure of a serious medical condition, refusal to adhere to treatment, and actions that placed her life at risk. The case was referred by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), underscoring the importance of coordinated support between civil society and national institutions in protecting vulnerable individuals. Today, Mrs. C is free from a harmful situation, and her story serves as a powerful reminder that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and protection under the law.

Lawyers alert secures the release of John Ibya through its Pro bono services
Mr ibya was arrested by the police in Aliade and was immediately taken to the police station for the alleged offence of conspiracy, attempted robbery and housebreaking. He was arraigned at the Chief Magistrate court Aliade for the said offences. He was subsequently remanded in prison custody since July 2018.
