ROMMY MOM Vs BSEMA & 1OR

Matter comes up on Monday the 3rd day of June 2013. Recall matter was earlier struck out wherein a motion for re-listing was filed.

The motion is slated for the above date and possible continuation of the matter.

Recall Mr. Mom recently issued a statement wherein he expressed fears for his safety following pronouncements by the Governor of Benue State regarding the matter, statements which denigrated the person of Mr. Mom.

LAWYERS ALERT Vs MINISTER OF THE FCT & 2 ORS

In this matter, Lawyers Alert is challenging the constitutionality of harassment of women on Abuja streets at nights on suspicion of prostitution. Lawyers Alert believes these amounts to discrimination against women and gross abuse of their rights to movement and dignity of person.

The FCT Minister has challenged the interest or locus of Lawyers Alert to maintain this action. The preliminary objection is for 5th of June 2013.

ROMMY MOM Vs FCTA

In this matter, Rommy Mom argues the clamping of vehicle tires in Abuja for nonpayment of parking fees/ taxes is unlawful and restricts the movement of citizens for the period unlawfully, amounting to false imprisonment. He challenges the propriety of the tax by the Federal Capital Territory Authority.

The matter is fixed for 13th June 2013.
